To lead Minot into a growing relationship with Jesus.
To create a place in Minot where everyone is welcome, no matter where they are on their faith journey. We live out our vision through our actions. Here at The Pursuit, we’ve narrowed it down to six core values that we focus all of our time and energy on. If we want to do something that does not correspond with our vision, we will not do it!
LAY DOWN EVERYTHING. Your personal comforts, styles, and preferences, so that we can reach people far from God. INVEST your life into someone else’s because their life depends on it.
Bring The Mess. Jesus Can Handle It.
It’s okay to not be okay, but it’s not okay to stay that way. We’re up for the journey.
Do Whatever It Takes
Creatively make Jesus known. Even though culture changes, the message of Jesus stays the same.
We have ownership, not membership. Everyone has something to contribute, so be the church.
Take Next Steps
Teach someone everything you know. Equip them with the tools to be successfull. Pray together.
We will put our money where our mouth is!
The Bible is God’s story, divinely inspired, and without error. It is the primary authority on faith and living. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
The Trinity is God existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three persons exist in eternal relationship with one another. (Genesis 1; Deuteronomy 6:4-5; Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19-20; John 14:6-27; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Galatians 4:4-6)
Jesus is the God-man, both fully God and fully man. He was born of the Virgin Mary and lived a sinless life on earth. He became humanity’s ultimate sacrifice by being crucified on the cross and paying our penalty for sin. Three days later he was resurrected from the dead and conquered death, opening the door for those who put their faith in Him to experience salvation. (Matthew 1:20-25; 16:15-16; Luke 1:26-35; John 1:1-18; Acts 2:22-36; Romans 8:3; 32-34; Galatians 4:4-5; Philipians 2:5-11; Colossians 1:12-22; Hebrews 1:1-5; 7:22-28; 9:24-28; 1 John 4:15)
The Holy Spirit is the ever-present and active presence of God in the world. It is the spirit that regenerates those who repent and believe. It is the spirit that empowers followers of Jesus. It is the spirit that guides people into truth, and it is the spirit that convicts us of our sin. (John 14:15-18; 16:7-15; Acts 15:8-9; Romans 8:1-27; 2 Thessalonians 2:13; 1 John 3:24)
Salvation is a gift from God through Jesus’ work on the cross. It gives freedom from sin and restores our broken lives. It is for all who choose to put their faith in Christ. It is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. (John 3:16-17; 14:6; Romans 3:21-26; 5; 6:14; Galatians 2:20-21; Ephesians 2:1-9; 1 John 1:9)
The Church has the mission of continuing the redemptive work of Christ in all places, at all times, and in all cultures. It is not a building. It has no walls and knows no boundaries. It is men, women, and children who follow Jesus and share in His mission. It is a community committed to the cause of Christ. (Jeremiah 29:4-7; Matthew 22:34-40; Matthew 28:16-20; Acts 2:42-47; Romans 12:3-8; 1 Corinthians 4:12-14; 1 Corinthians 9:19-23)

The Pursuit Minot and Gold Creek share similar DNA. Both churches have an unwavering passion to see people come to know Jesus and believe that this remains the central role of the church. Although Minot, ND is a very different setting and culture than Mill Creek, WA, we believe the accountability and encouragement of Gold Creek will be vital to our success.
